Debuted during the 1990s cigar boom, named for a story of five Cuban tobacco farmers who each contributed leaf from their own 'vegas' (fields) to blend it. Crafted by Nestor Plasencia, now rolled in Esteli, Nicaragua: a dark, oily Sumatra wrapper over Cuban-seed Nicaraguan/Dominican long-filler gives toast, coffee, roasted nuts, cocoa, and cedar.
