Launched in 2011 after founder Alan Rubin worked through 18 different Panamanian-tobacco blends before settling on this one, Black Market is handcrafted by the Plasencia family in Honduras. A dark, oily Nicaraguan wrapper over Ecuadorian binder and Honduran/Panamanian (Jamastran) filler brings smoked hickory, espresso, cocoa, and pepper; Cigar Aficionado has rated it 94 points and named it a Top 10 Cigar of the Year.
