Built after founder Alan Rubin fell for a dark wrapper leaf grown in Trojes, southern Honduras, and decided to build a whole cigar brand exclusively from Central American tobacco. Launched in 2009 to immediate acclaim — every size in the original five scored 91+ in a vertical tasting, and the Churchill vitola was Cigar Aficionado's #1 Cigar of the Year in 2011. A dark, espresso-hued Corojo wrapper over Honduran/Nicaraguan filler gives leather, chocolate, coffee, nut, and spice.
