Launched in 1937 by J.C. Newman founder Julius Caeser Newman as an all-Cuban puro — discontinued during the Great Depression, then revived in 2009 by Newman's grandsons Bobby and Eric using Nicaraguan tobacco instead. A Nicaraguan Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler gives white pepper, leather, and spice in a reliable, medium-bodied everyday smoke.
