Originally created by J.C. Newman over a century ago as a luxury cigar — a dime when standard cigars cost a nickel — before fading out shortly before WWII and being revived as Diamond Crown Classic in 1995 by Stanford Newman and Carlos Fuente Jr. to mark the company's 100th anniversary. Made at the Fuente family's Dominican factory; it was the first cigar to use a 54 ring gauge, launching the thick-ring-gauge trend. Creamy and smooth with butterscotch, baking chocolate, salted nuts, and crisp earth.
