Nick Melillo's tribute to his home state, named for the Connecticut colonists' Charter Oak — the tree where they hid their royal charter from the British, and where Native Americans once grew tobacco. Also dedicated to Melillo's grandfather, a lover of Connecticut leaf. A Connecticut Shade wrapper over Sumatra binder and Esteli/Jalapa Nicaraguan filler gives cedar, balsa wood, cashew, vanilla bean, and alfalfa.
