Released in 2001 as what many call the brand's game-changer, Antaño 1970 ('yesteryear') was built as a tribute to the true Nicaraguan puro after Joya de Nicaragua — the country's oldest cigar brand, founded in 1968 — rebuilt itself following the Sandinista revolution under new ownership in 1994. Spicy and leathery with black pepper, dark cocoa, black cherry, cedar, and coffee.
