Oliva Serie G Maduro Special G (Perfecto)

The darker-wrapped half of Oliva's Serie G line, handcrafted at the family's Tabacalera Oliva in Esteli — descendants of Melanio Oliva, who first grew tobacco in Cuba's Pinar del Rio in 1886. A Mexican San Andres wrapper over Nicaraguan long-filler gives dark cocoa, anise, black pepper, licorice, earth, and hickory, medium-bodied. Rated 93 points and a Cigar Aficionado Top 25 pick for 2006.
