The Plasencia family's own debut cigar line in 2016 — the '1865' honors Don Eduardo Plasencia, the ancestor who began growing tobacco in Cuba's Pinar del Rio that year. A high-end, small-batch Nicaraguan puro with each of its four vitolas named for a different generation of the family. Dark chocolate, plum, cinnamon, oak, molasses, cocoa powder, and leather. Rated 93 points and Cigar Aficionado's #9 Cigar of the Year in 2017.
